A brave child’s horrific tale on Facebook’s “Dreamcatchers for Abused Children” moved many worldwide.
This specialized group helps family-abused kids. Understanding abusive parents, they remove them from the house. Next, the youngsters look for a loving adoptive family that can provide a safe, nurturing environment without abuse.
An Oklahoma toddler was abused by drunken biological parents. The innocent child missed life’s finest moments due to years of physical and emotional abuse.
Luckily, neighbors called the authorities to rescue the child from terrible parents. Child was placed with “Dreamcatchers for Abused Children.”
For a better life, the child wanted adoption by a loving family. Our volunteers worked hard to find the child a good adoptive family.
The child penned a heartfelt letter to his future family about his ambitions and dreams, excited for his new home.
A touching wish list from an Oklahoma foster child is in this letter. Always thinking of the poor, especially children who need love and care, is difficult. Be their loving family and acknowledge their struggles.
“Things I want in my family.
I want food and water
Don’t hit on me.
A house with running water and lights.
I want to love.
Mom and dad don’t fight.
I want no drugs.
Don’t kill my pets.
Help with the school.
Nice clean clothes.
No lice. No bugs in house.
Clean bed with covers.
Don’t sell my toys.
Don’t get drunk.
Let me keep my school stuff.
My own comb soap. Nice house and safe and heater coat.
